It’s April, fools.

Alright. Today is April 1st. You should know, if you don’t already, that this means it is a holiday. April Fool’s day. This means that people are pulling pranks all day. So, in light of this, I would like to share with you a few tips to help you pull off a successful April Fool’s prank. It is not as easy as you think.

First, make it feasible.

Don’t: attempt to get all of the deans of the college to do the funky chicken. It’s not gonna happen. Unless you have mind control powers. Which you don’t.

Do: pretend to eat the poop you “found” because you know its only a tootsie roll you put there.

Second, make it significant.

Don’t: tell people “you have something on your face” and say that’s an April Fool’s joke. It’s not. It’s barely even a joke. Put some effort into it.

Do: well… maybe just don’t even bother with the April Fool’s jokes. Pretty much they’re just little dumb lies for no reason. And it’s hard to make that funny.

Third, make it funny.

Don’t: do things that could permanently damage your relationship with the person you’re pranking. Like, stealing someone’s vehicle or painting their face with bleach. Those aren’t nice.

Do: offer to help clean up any of the damages. If you put someone’s office supplies in Jell-o, offer to help eat said Jell-o.

Last, if you are going to go with the joke, make it believable.

Don’t: tell people that your six-year-old sister is in rehab for meth use.

Do: tell someone they have a booger. Don’t let up until their nose is red.

Thank you. Happy April Foolin’.
