You know, I was going to make this post about a particular story. But I have decided to instead write about the amazing group that is helping bring people hope, one story at a time. Watch.
Underheard in New York is a nonprofit initiative to give voice to those who otherwise would go unheard – the homeless. They’ve started by choosing four men, giving them prepaid cell phones and a twitter account, and helping support them as they get back on track.
The success stories are unbelievable. Already, Danny has been reunited with his daughter after 11 years, Derrick the Giants fan has made a friendship with and been given support from a Giants wide receiver, and all four men are being given support via Twitter followers who are building relationships.
This group is genius. Why shouldn’t these men have voices? Why shouldn’t this population be heard? They are human as we all are. I am so glad for all of them. I hope that this group can support hundreds more in the future.

That is all.
